Eriphos Farm is a small family farm located in Bourbon, MO, about 1 and 1/2 hours southwest of St. Louis, MO. Our home is about 5 miles off of Hwy 44, just south of the world-famous Meramec Caverns, and near the historic Route 66.
At Eriphos Farm ("Eriphos" is Greek for "Goat Kid") we
are dedicated to producing quality animals and friendly customer service.
We have been raise
ing
various types of animals for 25 years. We started with rabbits in 1985, under
the name Seals' Rabbitry, but soon broadened into other species. We always
research and study all aspects of our animals to ensure that we are providing
the finest animals possible.
We are excited to take our Border Collie and Great Pyrenees rescue to the next level. We are shifting our focus slightly in order to concentrate more on these dogs. We accept purebred dogs of both breeds (as space allows) and provide them with the medical care, training, and socialization needed to turn them in to adoptable companions to forever homes.
Our newest endeavor is really a return to some of our favorite animals-- Boer goats. This is our second time around, and we excited. We currently have just a small herd but are already looking forward to what the future holds and plan to expand our quality and produce kids that excel as market (4-H, FFA, junior livestock shows) animals, commercial stock, and show stock.
We provide only the finest care for our animals. Because we are a small, family-run farm, we know each of our animals personally and can tell prospective buyers all about that individual animal. We research all of our feeds, medicine, etc. to make sure we are providing only the best for our animals. You will find that all of our animals are vaccinated, de-wormed, and free of any illness at the time of sale. If for any reason the animal is sick or is acting "questionably", it will not be sold until it is completely healthy again, and every animal is sold with a health guarantee.
We have shown or trialed every species of animal we raise, so we are very familiar with the what the judges are looking for, often in both performance and conformation events. While Tora normally shows the animals, everyone in our family has shown something. Also, because of our show schedule, our animals are frequently vet-checked.
